Station 73 & Station 81 (National Park) were dispatched to a reported dwelling fire in National Park. 701 arrived to find the side of the porch on fire and the homeowner attempting to extinguish the fire. There was no extension into the dwelling. Assignment was held to Engine 812, Ladder 736, BLS 739, Chief 701 as they awaited the arrival of the Gloucester County Fire Marshall’s Office.
While crews were returning to their respective stations, crews were made aware of smoke on the unit block of Lake Avenue in National Park. Crews investigated and found an illegal bon fire in the rear yard. Gloucester County Fire Marshall’s Office also assisted as the homeowner was made aware of open burning regulations and extinguished the fire.
