The Westville Fire Department has a proud history of serving our community. That spirit of service continues as we move forward into the future. This year, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the merger of the two previous fire companies, to one, the Westville Fire Department. since 1988, The men and women of the Westville Fire Department are here to serve you. From our front line Firefighters to our Ambulance Operators and the sworn and civilian staff that comprise our workforce, we are committed to providing the highest levels of service possible.
The mission of the Westville Fire Department is to protect lives, property and the environment, improving the quality of life and safety of the community.
These words summarize what we do, but it is the men and women of the Westville Fire Department that embrace these words on a daily basis that continue to make a difference in our community. The Westville Fire Department is an "All risk" department, meaning we will respond to the needs of the community, regardless of the nature of the incident and begin the process of solving the problem to lead to a positive outcome. Finally, many members of the Westville Fire Department are trained Emergency Medical Technicians. Emergency Medical Service accounts for the majority of our workload, and we are staffed with career and volunteers members to staff these needs.
As a member of this department, I am proud to represent such a fine organization. I am impressed on a daily basis with the compassion and resourcefulness of the men and women of our Department and their commitment to the residents and businesses in our community. As the Westville Fire Department moves into our next chapter of service we will continually seek ways to re-think how we provide our service in an effort to be more efficient, more adaptable and more responsive to the needs of our community.
It is our commitment to you that we stand ready to assist you in your time of need day or night, with compassion, professionalism, respect and dignity.
