September 5th, Ladder 736 assisted the Bellmawr Fire Department on an Extra Alarm Fire, The crew on the ladder operated in the basement and performed extensive overhaul in the dwelling. On Friday,September 7th a band of strong storms that seemed to stall directly over the Westville area caused extremely dangerous flooding conditions around the entire town. Members handled a combination of EMS and Fire calls for vehicles in high water, motor vehicle crashes, trees down, and securing flooded roadways. Later in the evening Rescue 738 was dispatched to Gloucester City in the area of Charles and 7th street for a vehicle stuck in water. A firefighter donned a dry suit and safely escorted the occupant of the vehicle to dry land. After clearing the rescue was dispatched to Gloucester to cover their response area as they operated in Winslow Twp. at a Hazmat assignment. Members were able to return home shortly after 3am on Saturday.
