Taskforce 8 dispatched to a dwelling fire, Chief 701 on location and had smoke and fire showing from the rear of the dwelling with the home owner on the outside attempting to extinguish with a garden line.
Scene size up confirmed fire on a rear second floor porch with fire extending into the roof. All occupants accounted for. Engine 812 on scene, Chief 701 directed the crew into the front door to move the 1 3/4” hand line to the second floor to push the fire away from the exterior and extinguish.
Rescue 738 responded out of Gloucester City Fire Headquarters where they were on a cover assignment and Ladder 626 Special Called due to Companies being unavailable due to a fire in Camden City.
Chief 701 Command, Chief 6201 Operations, Suppression, ventilation, salvage operations, utilities secured, accountability and the RIT Team establish and all tasks completed.
Fire under investigation by the Gloucester County Fire Marshal Office. One minor injury to a Firefighter on scene.
