Taskforce 7 dispatched to a dwelling reported oven fire.
Chief 701 and Battalion 504 on scene with 2 1/2 story wood frame single family dwelling with smoke showing from the “C” Division. 701 set up the command, Battalion 504 preformed the 360. Reported fire conditions in the kitchen and extending to the interior and exterior of the dwelling. 701 order Engine 733 to operate 1 3/4” hand-line and struck the all-Hands.
Engine 733 lead off and established a water supply by a spit lay. Engine 733 place the supply line out on Delsea Drive and Engine 812 pick up the supply. Taskforce Chiefs arrived ICS staff implemented. All occupants were accounted for.
Operations officer with the Division officer deployed the companies for extinguishment and containment. Fire was held to the kitchen with a smoke condition throughout. Salvage operations preformed and removal of all Christmas gifts!
No injury reported. The fire is under investigation with the Westville Fire Marshal Office.
A day like this shows the importance of a local volunteer fire department and it’s mutual aid companies! Thank you for another job well done!
