Happy Retirement Chief Kappler!
On December 21st, members of the Westville Fire Department with other Emergency Responders from Gloucester County went to the Gloucester County Emergency Response Center to celebrate the Service and retirement of Chief Dennis Kappler.
Dennis started his career with the Oak Valley Volunteer Fire Company and the National Park Fire Department where he served as Fire Chief. Hired by Gloucester County as a 9-1-1 Fire/EMS Dispatcher preformed tasks throughout the years and was appointed as Chief Dispatcher. He also held training and educational positions within the county. Also served as the County Haz-Mat Chief and County Fire Coordinator.
His newest title Honorary Life Member of the Westville Fire Department presented to him last Saturday evening, but his best title “Our Friend”.
The crew of Engine 733 presented Dennis today with his last official ICS 214 form as Gloucester County Fire Coordinator. Recording the Engine Company log to the Celebration of his retirement !
