Department handles multiple calls in National Park

Rescue Company 738 and Chief 701 were dispatched to Crozier Ave in National Park for a motor vehicle accident. Companies arrived on location to find one vehicle overturned in the road way and two occupants outside the vehicle. Crews from National Park and Westville handled a highway hazard before being released. Later in the evening, a marine rescue assignment was dispatched in the area of Beach Hill in National Park. Utility 737, along with Marine 73, Chief 701, and Utility 7371, responded with marine units from National Park. Responding crews were advised that the 911 center received a call for a person on a jet ski that fell off and did not resurface. Both marine units were launched from Beach Hill and made contact with the victims in the water. It was confirmed that nobody was in the water and that one of the jet skis were having engine trouble. The victims were all brought in to shore by the marine units and turned over to EMS personnel.
