Squad 51 and Battalion 504 were dispatch for an investigation. They arrived and a resident advise them that his 20 pound propane tank that he just picked up from being filled was leaking from the bottom of the tank in the back of his pickup truck.
Squad 51 stretched a 2-1/2 blitz fire and applied a fog pattern and a 4” supply line. Battalion 504 requested Rescue 738 as a second company to stand by. Companies metered and monitor the area.
The tank took approximately 2 hours to empty, no injuries.
